Does this work on self-hosted n8n? +
Yes. n8n Playground works on n8n Cloud and self-hosted instances. Enter your instance URL once in the Settings tab of the extension popup — it requests permission for that domain and runs from that point forward.
Will it break when n8n updates? +
It's built to be resilient. The extension targets stable n8n attributes (data-test-id, vue-flow class names) rather than internal Vue scoped selectors wherever possible. Minor selector drift from n8n updates gets patched quickly — Pro users get priority access to fixes.
How does license activation work? +
After purchasing on Gumroad, open the extension popup, go to Settings, click Activate, and enter your License Key. The extension verifies against our Cloudflare Worker endpoint — no account creation, no password. Takes about 3 seconds.
Does it collect any data? +
Absolutely not. All theme settings, canvas colors, and wallpaper choices are stored locally in chrome.storage.sync (your own browser account). The only external call the extension makes is to verify your License Key on Gumroad — and only when you trigger it manually.
Can I use it on multiple machines? +
Yes. Your settings sync via Chrome sync across devices. License activation uses your purchase email, so you can verify on any machine you install the extension on.
Is this a subscription? +
